Lafayette, Feb. 26-Injuries sustained in December by a fall on an icy sidewalk resulted in the death of John William Mastin, 75, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Morris Etter here on Monday morning at 10:20 o'clock. Mr. Mastin had been a resident and well known citizen of Crawfordsville during the greater part of his life.

The deceased, the son of William Harrison and Hanna Mastin was born in Crawfordsville, July 23, 1853. He was united in marriage to Laura E. Misner who preceeded him in death six years ago.

Survivors include a son, Charles Mastin, of Vandalia Mont.; a daughter, Mrs. Morris Etter, of Lafayette, six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Hughes of Liberty, Kan., Mrs. Alice Misner, of Lafayette, and Mrs. Malissa Maxwell of Smartsburg; and two brothers, James and Bruce of Crawfordsville.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Proffitt home in charge of Rev. C.L. Airhart. Burial will be made at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Note: above obituary states John died at home of his sister, but this was his daughter not his sister.
